The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment will collect indicator data about the integration of immigrants as part of the integration monitoring system and issue a comprehensive review of integration in Finland in autumn 2019. The review report will present the latest monitoring data describing different aspects of integration. The Centre of Expertise will collect a set of scientific articles discussing these aspects and is now looking for writers for the articles. Read carefully the requirements for writers before you submit your application.

The Centre of Expertise is collecting articles discussing the following integration-related themes:

  • Employment (especially entrepreneurship);
  • Education and skills;
  • Housing;
  • Income;
  • Two-way integration (especially concerning identity/sense of solidarity, experiences of discrimination and harassment, trust in the authorities).

The indicator data from the monitoring system for integration will be available for the writers in spring 2019.  However, the article writers are expected to use even other relevant research material in their articles. The writers are relatively free to decide the point of view for their articles. The recommended article length is about 15 pages.

The language of the review report will be Finnish. However, even articles written in Swedish or English are welcome.
