Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration
In the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, the Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration comes under the Immigrant Integration Group of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Department. The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration started its work on 21 March 2014.
The aim of the Centre of Expertise is to support the work promoting immigrant integration at local, regional and national level.
The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration organises events designed to enhance skills and knowledge at national and regional level, share good practices, identify processes and cooperation networks in different areas, compile and distribute research, statistical and monitoring data for the planning and implementation of integration work, and promote the assessment of the effectiveness of integration work.
The objective of all activities by the Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration is to support the work of professionals whose work brings them into contact with immigrants. This helps to improve the effectiveness of the work supporting immigrant integration. At the same time, it also supports immigrants and their well-being.
The website Integration.fi is intended for parties encountering immigrants as part of their work and for actors involved in integration and the reception of refugees. It is maintained by the Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration. The website was launched on 21 March 2014 and it is continuously expanded and updated.
