Integration development projects and funding

The website provides a brief introduction to the Funds which provide project funding for integration work and integration activities.  You can also check the deadlines for application to the key Funds and read brief descriptions of projects funded.

In 2016 and 2017, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment provided NGO grants for projects to coordinate volunteer activities or reinforce the expertise of local associations. See the NGO grant project descriptions on the website.

The integration projects administered by the Ministry seek to develop immigrant integration services and related best practices. The Sylvia project supports local government in the reception of beneficiaries of international protection. The aim of the At Home in Finland project administered by the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for Uusimaa (ELY Centre) is to develop integration services and processes. The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration takes part in the ‘Hyvä polku’ sub-project in the ‘Kotona Suomessa’ project aiming to decentralise the operations of the Centre. You can also read descriptions and outcomes of completed projects.
